October 29 meeting: Power Video Communication

October 14, 2009 | by SMC of SLC

RealPlayerSPPower Video Communication — If you’re going to try it, do it right!

Join us for a special edition of SMCSLC!

This month, a panel of expert videographers share do’s and don’ts of good video production, effective video presentation on social media platforms, and when and why to use video. Bring questions, and plan to share personal successes and failures.

A Special Call to Action

You’re invited to submit any short form videos you have produced or used with permission for a personal or organizational communication campaign.

Send a link to your video — or instructions for accessing it — to our chapter video guru, Drew Tyler at BetaLoft (drew [at] betaloftslc.com or @BetaLoft).

We may show your video at the meeting and give you some time in the spotlight to discuss the project and answer any questions about your experience.

Bonus Round

This event is sponsored by RealPlayer SP, a sociable, portable, solution for playing and sharing video.

But don’t worry, there will be no sales pitch. The folks from Real will be on hand to have a short two-way conversation about how you use video, how easy or hard it is to remix and re-consume it on your device or platform of choice, and how you would LIKE to use it if you could?

Results of the conversation will be part of the Social Media Club’s Reality Check program.
