June 8, 2009 | by Hilarye Fuller

First off congrats to Nate Bagley for winning the Anniversary Inn free night stay certificate for completing the survey. We hope you enjoy your stay- let us know which awesome room you pick! Check out the Anniversary Inn’s name the room contest!

We had only 32 responses to our survey which was a little disappointing considering the  amount of members we have. But we are still grateful for the input and are still grateful if anyone wants to add anything in the comment page. We do like constructive criticism though!

We asked what types of events you would like to see?
Panels 78.1%
Networking 87.5%
Speakers 75.0%
Open Mic 28.1%
Workshops 81.3%

We asked where you would like the locations of meetings to be?
The majority answered in Salt Lake City around the downtown area but to be conscious of parking.

When asked if you would change anything about the events so far- Most of you said not to charge and to allow more time for networking and to be social.

We asked what you are interesting in hearing about for topics at meetings- we got a ton of responses so here are just a few of them:
Short presentations (ignite like) about local companies using social media
Creators & Consumers – an open discussion between the creators of social media applications, etc. and the people consuming them. (Split the room, with one side being the creators, the other being the consumers)
SEO- your wish is our command attend the June 18th meeting!
Topics specifically on how to measure a return on social media

Now is your chance to sound off! We are always striving to make our SMC of SLC better and it’s all for you guys so let us know what you want! Leave comments with your thoughts!
