Volunteers needed

June 16, 2009 | by Pete Codella, APR

Do you see the Social Media Club of Salt Lake City as one of your primary local sources of news and information regarding social media? We hope you do.

And we hope you know that our club wouldn’t exist if it weren’t for the dedicated contributions of volunteers and support of local companies.

We’re half-way through our first year and it’s time to raise the volunteer flag once again.

The leadership team needs your help

There are a number of upcoming initiatives — monthly events, fund raisers, the Utah Social Media Awards — and we need more volunteers to be effective in our efforts.

Thursday evening, following our regularly scheduled programming, we’ll gather everyone interested in volunteering. Various members of the leadership team and existing committees will be on hand to discuss with you what volunteering with Social Media Club of Salt Lake City entails.

We hope to leave Thursday evening with a new crop of fresh volunteers, willing and able to help carry forward the SMC of SLC banner.

If you aren’t able to join us Thursday night, please complete our online contact form to let us know of your interest.

Check out our volunteer page for a breakdown of committees and assignments.

Thank you to all of you, and to your companies and employers, for your support of the Social Media Club of Salt Lake City.

    Hey there Pete,

If there is a way that I can help, I am happy to offer it!

    See you there.
